To all CAM's: You will learn from the 2011 Legal Update (LU-1), which is now available, that a new law went into effect of July 1, 2010 which requires condo board members serving in the State of Florida must be certified within (3) three months of being elected or appointed to the associations board. If they are not certified they cannot serve on the board until they are certified. David L. Richards, P.A. Inc., offers Board Member Training Manual, approved by The Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. This manual can also be used for overall association operations. This is a one time expense and additional answer sheets and Certification Certificates will be available for future board members.

Board Member Certification:
